– Natsumi Suzuki –
日本、アメリカで活動する日本人舞踊家、振付家、TAF (Traditional / Asian / Fusion) ダンスと打ダンス創始者。
幼少期よりバレエ、ヒップホップ、ジャズなどのダンスを学び、2007年よりトライバルフュージョンベリーダンスの本場サンフランシスコに留学。
数々のフェスティバルや舞台公演、ミュージックビデオに出演。
その実績が認められレイチェル・ブライス、ジル・パーカー、カミ・リドル、ソニア・オチョアなど米国を代表するダンサー推薦のもと、トライバルフュージョンベリーダンサーとして米国O1ビザ（卓越能力ビザ）を発行され、このジャンルでは日本人初の快挙を果たす。
アメリカ、日本、メキシコ、シンガポールなど世界各地でワークショップやパフォーマンスツアーを開催。
現在は後進の育成を主軸に活動しており、日本各地で活躍するダンサーや、コンペティションでの入賞者・優勝者を輩出している。

– TAFダンスとは –
TAFダンスとは国内外で様々なジャンルのダンスを学んできたNatsumi Suzukiによって始められた新しいスタイル。TはTraditional、 AはAsian、Fは Fusionを意味する。
バレエ、ヒップホップ、ジャズ、フュージョンベリーダンス、それらにアジアや日本の舞踊・所作などを取り入れたのが TAFダンスである。

TAFダンスカンパニー オンラインクラスについて
TAFダンスクラス内容
Fusion Bellydance、Jazz/Hip Hop Dance Fusion、Asian Fusion Dance、TAF Fan Danceを順次バランスよく学んでいただけます。
オンラインという形式ではございますが、通常のお教室と同じように、ご受講者はTAFダンスカンパニーの一員として当スクールに所属していただくことになります。
当スクールでは、舞踊を長期的に深めたい方を対象とし、継続的に学んでいただく方向けのレッスンプログラムを提供しております。
ドロップイン（単発受講）や短期のみの受講、特定のジャンルのみを対象としたクラスは行っておりません。
ファンやプロップを使用したダンスについて
TAFファンダンスとは、ファンダンスにNatsumiが幼少期から学んできたさまざまなダンスジャンルと、自分の研究・アイデアを融合して作り上げたスタイルになります。（すなわちファンダンスとTAFダンスを合わせたものがTAFファンダンスです）
時々の使用曲によっても融合するジャンルが変わってくるため、基盤となるダンスのレッスンがとても重要になります。
そのため、ファンの技、やり方、振り付けだけなど特定のことだけに絞って教えることは行っておりません。ファンやプロップ単体としてではなく、踊り全体を通して学んでいただくことを大切にしております。

・アーカイブにてお好きな時間に受講・復習可
※アーカイブは1週間を期限としておりますが、振り付けやワークショップなど内容によって数週〜数ヶ月間延長する場合もございます
・希望者は、練習動画をご提出いただくことで、講師による添削を受けることができます。
お月謝料金
・カンパニー生料金: 12,000円（＋¥1,000で打ダンスクラスも受講可）
・打ダンスインストラクター料金: 10,000円（この料金でTAFダンスクラスと打ダンスクラス両方受講可）

– Natsumi Suzuki –
A Japanese dancer and choreographer active in both Japan and the United States, and the founder of TAF (Traditional / Asian / Fusion) Dance and Da-Dance.
She has trained in Classical ballet, Hip-hop dance, Jazz dance, and other styles since childhood, and moved to San Francisco—one of the centers of Tribal Fusion Belly Dance—in 2007 to further her studies.
She has performed in numerous festivals, stage productions, and music videos.
Her work received high recognition, and with recommendations from leading U.S. dancers such as Rachel Brice, Jill Parker, Kami Liddle, and Sonia Ochoa, she was granted the U.S. O-1 visa for individuals with extraordinary ability—becoming the first Japanese artist in this genre to achieve this.
She has taught workshops and toured for performances across the United States, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, and other parts of the world.
She is now primarily dedicated to training the next generation of dancers, and has produced many performers who are active throughout Japan as well as numerous competition prize winners and champions.

TAF Dance is a new dance style created by Japanese dancer Natsumi Suzuki.

As a lifelong dancer Natsumi has mastered a variety of dance styles and studied both in Japan and overseas. In 2007 Natsumi returned to her origins and began creating pieces that have movements of Japanese storytelling and folklore. In 2016 Natsumi began to deepen her focus on Asian dance and in 2018 she established TAF Dance.

About TAF Dance Company Online Classes
TAF Dance Class Content
Students will progressively learn a balanced mix of Fusion Bellydance, Jazz/Hip Hop Dance Fusion, Asian Fusion Dance, and TAF Fan Dance.
Please note that our online classes are conducted in Japanese, as most of our students are Japanese speakers.
Although the classes are online, students participate as members of TAF Dance Company, just like in a regular dance school. Our program is designed for students who wish to deepen their dance practice over the long term. Please note that we do not offer drop-in sessions, short-term enrollment, or classes focused on a single dance style.
About Fan and Prop-Based Dance
TAF Fan Dance is a style created by Natsumi, combining her lifelong study of various dance genres with her own research and ideas. In other words, TAF Fan Dance integrates fan dance techniques with TAF Dance principles.
The genres incorporated may vary depending on the music used, so a strong foundation in general dance skills is essential. For this reason, we do not teach only fan techniques, choreography, or props in isolation. Students learn to integrate fans and props into the full scope of dance, developing a complete, expressive performance.
Schedule
– 4 sessions per month
– Every Tuesday, 8:30pm – 10:00pm (JST)
– Classes are available via archive for flexible viewing and review
(Archives are normally available for 1 week, but may be extended for several weeks to months depending on choreography or workshops.)
– Students may submit practice videos for instructor feedback
Tuition
– Company Member: 12,000 yen per month (+1,000 yen to also join Da-Dance class)
– Da-Dance Instructor: 10,000 yen per month (includes both TAF Dance and Da-Dance classes)

– Bio –
幼少期にクラシックバレエから始まりヒップホップダンスやジャズダンス、ダンス専門学校にて運動生理学などを学ぶ。ベリーダンスをタカダアキコに師事。
2007年より米国サンフランシスコにて、トライバルフュージョンベリーダンスのパイオニアJill Parker、そしてこのスタイルの第一線で活躍するRachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Mira Betz, Ariellah Aflalo, Zoe Jakesに師事。
トライバルスタイルだけでなくベリーダンスを基礎から学ぶため、
Suhaila Salimpour（スヘイラ・サリンポー）に師事。
Jamila Salimpour（ジャミラ・サリンポー）のFinger cymbals（Zill)クラスを度々受講している。
Classical Chinese DanceをHai Yan Jacksonに師事、日本舞踊を琴唄舞若宮流 若宮香昇に師事。
2009年、Suhaila certification（認可証） Level1を取得。
同年、Tribal Fest 9にソロ出場。
2011年4月、Rachel Briceによる初の8 Elements™ Intensive1のCertificationを取得。
ポートランドで行われたレイチェル・ブライス出演イベント、Salon L’Orient Starring Rachel Brice にゲストダンサーとして出演。
2011年には、毎年ラスベガスで行われるトライバルフュージョンのステージショー、Tribal massive spectacular にミラ・ベッツと共に出場。
2013年、サンフランシスコのショーにてDj Shotnez aka Ori Kaplan（バルカン・ビート・ボックス）とコラボレートを果たす。同年末から2014年末にかけて、メキシコツアーと日本ツアーを行う。
2015年7月と８月にバレエ・ジャズフュージョンベリーダンスとヒップホップフュージョンベリーダンスのワークショップをFatChance Bellydance studioにて開催。
サンフランシスコクラスのほか、ロサンゼルスのLA Bellydance Academyにて定期的にクラスやWSを開催。
2015年、アメリカのバンドVeil of Mayaのミュージックビデオ “Mikasa” に出演。この曲が収録されたアルバム“Matriarch”のイメージキャラクターに選ばれアルバムジャケットカバーなどに起用される。このアルバムはBillboardチャートUS Hard Rock部門で最高順位２位となった。
同年12月にリリースされた“Aeris”のミュージックビデオに出演。
イギリスのバンド、Asking Alexandria “The Black”のミュージックビデオに出演。
日本のバンドAldiousの“Sweet Temptation”のミュージックビデオに出演。
トライバルフュージョンベリーダンス界だけにとどまらず、SymbiosisやArt Outsideなどの音楽フェスティバルでのパフォーマンスに参加。

– Bio –
Began dance training in childhood with classical ballet, later studying hip-hop and jazz dance, and also learning subjects such as exercise physiology at a dance college.
While Natsumi has been in San Francisco, her passion for knowledge and improving her skills has led her to study belly dance and tribal fusion vigorously for the past 8 years with Jill Parker, Rachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Mira Betz, Suhaila Salimpour, Ariellah and Zoe Jakes. She has received Certification Level 1 from Suhaila Salimpour and also certification from Rachel Brice’s 8 Elements™ Intensive1 Exams.
Additionally, studied Classical Chinese Dance under Hai Yan Jackson, and Japanese Dance (Koto-uta Mai, Wakamiya School) under Wakamiya Kasho.
Some highlighted performances by Natsumi Suzuki include: Tribal Massive Spectacular with Mira Betz, Salon L’Orient starring Rachel Brice and the San Francisco Asian Art Museum VIP reception.
She collaborated with Dj Shotnez aka Ori Kaplan (Balkan Beat Box) in 2013.
She taught Ballet and Jazz Fusion bellydance Workshop, Hip hop Fusion Bellydance Workshop at FatChance Bellydance studio on June and August, 2015.
Also teaching class and Workshops at Los Angeles Bellydance Academy.
She was helm as the Matriarch for Veil of Maya’s new album and played a big role of their music videos “ Mikasa ” and “ Aeris ”.
2016 – She was performing for Asking Alexandria’s music video “ The Black ” .
She was in Aldious’s music video “ Sweet Temptation ”.
